Outlook 2013 - Email Setup Instructions


(Instructions for Outlook 2010 and newer versions)

Step 1. click on the File tab in the menu ribbon at the top of the screen, and click on Add Account under Info (see illustration)

Step 2. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click the Next button. (see illustration)

Step 3. On the next screen, select Internet E-Mail and then click Next (see illustration)

Step 4. In the Add New Account menu, you will need to enter the following information:

Your Name: This is the display name that others will see when you email them.
E-Mail Address: This is the email address you're setting up.
Account Type (Outlook 2007 and newer): Select the way your email will be handled by Outlook. TNT Dental recommends IMAP. What's the difference?
Incoming mail server: this should be mail.tntsupport.net
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): this should be mail.tntsupport.net
User Name: this should be your full email address. Ex. youremail@yourdomain.com
Password: this should be your email account password

Step 5. Once you have entered all this information, click More Settings… (button is in the bottom-right corner) (see illustration)

Step 6. Click the Outgoing Server tab, and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Ensure Use same settings as my incoming mail server underneath is selected. Then click Ok. (see illustration)

Step 7. Now, click Test Account Settings… to be sure your email is set up and working correctly. (see illustration)

Your account setup is complete, Congratulations!

Press the Next button to finish the process.
